My first experience at Fashion Week in Sydney was over before I knew it, in a flash of colour, fashion, lights and glamour.
Set in the industrial zone of Carriage Works, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Sydney welcomes Australia’s most elite fashionistas, media, influencers, models and of course retail buyers. Showcasing the upcoming Resort Collection’s by new and leading Australian designers.
The lovely Rebecca Raston from the store styled me in a mini black long sleeve, high-neck Thurley dress with epic shoulder pads and frills. I paired these with black thigh-high boots and a red bag I picked up from the markets in Florence.
First up was the ‘Alice McCall’ show, presenting her ultra-femme collection with bold colours, florals, layers and sparkles. The backdrop was strung with over-sized flowers with strung LED lights, to coincide with the collection vibes.
Next up straight after a quick coffee and drink grab was the highly anticipated ‘We are Kindred’ show. Every one commented how easily they could picture themselves wearing pieces from the collection. The Boheme Heart collection inspired a mix of their classic feminine appeal, with a contrasted western look.
The experience overall was a fashion-tastic whirlwind, with so much extravagant, epic fashion in one place there was so much style and inspiration to feast the eyes on!
Keep your eye out for all the styles coming from the runways that will be available at the end of this year, we can’t wait!
